New members in the organisation
SERCOS International has gained the following new members: WAGO Kontakttechnik, HMS Industrial Networks and Robert Bosch. Since Hannover Fair 2008 9 companies have joined the organisation SERCOS International, all of them are developing SERCOS III products.
Market leaders bed on SERCOS III
SERCOS International will show products and applications of various industry sectors at the upcoming SPS/IPC/DRIVES show in Nuremberg/Germany. To show the high market acceptance of SERCOS III in these sectors, a gallery list leading automation companies and machine builders which commit to SERCOS III.
Pack Profile for SERCOS III
The SERCOS organization announced at the world’s largest packaging show, the PackExpo in Chicago, that it would develop Pack Profile for SERCOS III, its real-time, Ethernet-based motion control network. With the new Pack Profile, packaging machine makers will be able to take better advantage of functionality associated with SERCOS III’s implementation of industrial Ethernet. These include high speed data transfer of 100 MBits per second and cabling reduction. SERCOS III network topology also offers inherent redundancy and hot swapping of devices on the network.
2nd Plugfest in the SERCOS competence centre
On 29th October, the 2nd Plugfest for devices featuring the most recent SERCOS III version was held at ISW, the Institute for Control Engineering of Machine Tools and Manufacturing Units, at the University of Stuttgart. This time, additional drive and control manufacturers were involved which could be incorporated into the existing test environment without any problems.
SERCOS at SPS/IPC/Drives Show
SERCOS will again exhibit with a joint booth at the SPS/IPC/DRIVES trade show in Nuremberg/Germany in an 80 square meter booth, #110, located in hall 6.
In addition, a press conference will be held November 25 at 17:00 o'clock, at CCN Ost, Messe Nuremberg/Germany.
